Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (RCSS), together with its sister educational concerns, owes its existence to the CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) fathers, the first ever indigenous religious congregation for men in the Syrian Catholic tradition of Christianity in India. The CMIs drawing inspiration from their founding father St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a great visionary, reformer and religious leader of the 19th century, have proven themselves worthy of that heritage in the field of education by establishing institutions of excellence imparting quality education, across the length and breadth of the State, and in various parts of India. At present, the CMIs manage a network of more than 800 Schools, 13 Special Schools, 41 Arts, Science, Commerce & Physical Education Colleges, 10 B.Ed. Colleges, 4 Nursing Colleges, 4 Engineering Colleges, one Medical College, one University, 3 Law Colleges, 6 Research Centres, 7 Technical Institutes, 41 Hostels & Boarding Houses, 17 Cultural Centres, 2 Super Speciality Hospitals and 114 Non-formal Education Centres. Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous) was established as a result of the indefatigable industry and foresight of the CMI. For the past five and a half decades, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous) has been a beacon of knowledge and hope among the academic community. RCSS (Autonomous), listed as College with Potential for Excellence in Education, has been accredited A++ by University Grant Commission’s (UGC) National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) based on its all-India high score of 3.83/4 in the fourth cycle of accreditation. The college has consistently ranked in the top two colleges in India for programs in social work and its management program was ranked 28th in the NIRF ranking of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GoI). Further, the College won the second spot in the Swachh Campus Ranking 2019 conducted by MHRD as a part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, GoI. The Ministry of Science and Technology, GoI has recognized the college as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO). RCSS (Autonomous), affiliated with the Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala offers a range of programs from undergraduate to doctoral levels, including B. Com, MBA, MCA, MA (HRM) among others. The college features as one of the 168 institutions in the country listed for the prestigious Study in India program of MHRD, GoI. The college has been a recipient of the coveted UKIERI (UK-India Education and Research Initiative) research projects. RCSS (Autonomous) has very strong international linkages with more than 60 prestigious universities and institutions across the world and regularly hosts national and international conferences and workshops.

Rajagiri Business School (RBS) is an autonomous, freestanding business school offering a two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme. Established in 2008, RBS is located in the picturesque Rajagiri Valley in Kakkanad, Kochi, Kerala. The campus has a well-planned infrastructural layout that includes all the required facilities for a residential programme. Rajagiri Valley, which houses Rajagiri Business School, is a sprawling campus on the banks of the river Chithrapuzha. The natural splendour of the environment has been carefully preserved to allow for academic development in communion with nature. Rajagiri Business School was established in 2008 as an autonomous institution approved and authorised by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) to award the Post Graduate Diploma in Management to students who successfully complete the two-year programme along with its academic requirements.
